A little harp music

In the spirit of Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusic, or a Little Night Music, here's Grace with a little harp music. I was looking around for a simple way to share her recordings, and it looks like this will work ok. Please let me know in the comments if it doesn't work, or the sound is choppy, etc. I believe you can even click on the DivShare logo below and download the mp3 file if you want. I'll move the player to a fixed place on the blog later, and we'll add to the playlist occasionally if I can get her to record any more songs. Our "recording studio" consists of a laptop, free software, and a microphone in the living room, but I think she sounds pretty good!

April 4 update: Moved the player here
We had a few workers over today, Lorraine Lerwick, Dorlene Cross, and Jana Printz. That's Jana on the violin on those 4 songs; Carrickfergus through Ye Banks. She's amazing; just walked up and played those, never having seen the music before. The recording is pretty informal, what with the page turning and talking mixed in.

It sounds great!! It's not very loud though. Can you up the volume on your end at all?

Yeah, that is a problem. It was recorded that way. We need a better mic. You probably noticed the volume control on the player, but even with that maxed, I'm sure it can't compete with those two little munchkins!

Hi, this is Jana! Thanks for sharing the blog and recordings--I think I can download them, if I can figure out how to get more than the first one, Cradle Song.

I really enjoyed getting acquainted with you, and making music together! I hope it works out to play again the end of the month!!

Bye for now,

Jana

Hi Jana,
We're so glad we got a chance to meet you and Dorlene. You're right, you can't seem to get anything but the song selected by default at the divShare site. Both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome browsers seem to have this issue. I had never noticed the problem since I generally use Firefox. With Firefox, there will be a list of all the songs below the "download" button. You can select a different song from the list and that's the one that will be dowloaded when you hit the button. So you could install Firefox if you don't have it ( http://www.mozilla.com/firefox )
Or if you don't want to do that, here's direct links for the 4 songs I mentioned.

Jana?
Jana Printz, formerly of Worland?
This is Mary-Beth. I've been trying to find my old friend, Jana, for quite some time, without success. If this is really you, please let me know how to contact you. We haven't seen each other since the Oregon convention in the 90s.
